How to Make Flower Ice Cubes
It's really easy to make these pretty floral cubes.
Start by trimming heads of flowers off. I like to use flowers from arrangements I have that aren't going to last much longer. You can also clip flowers from your yard, or pick some up from the market it you don't have any on hand.
Next, you'll want to fill up the ice cube tray with hot water. The reason you use hot water is because this helps make a more clear ice cube. Your ice cubes won't be perfectly clear with this method but I think they cubes are just as pretty.
It turns out, making perfectly clear ice cubes at home is quite the process.
Then, pop the filled ice cube tray into the freezer for 24 hours.
You can repeat this as many times as you need to make your desired number of floral cubes. Once frozen, you can transfer the cubes to a ziplock bag and leave in the freezer so you can use your mold to make more.
When you're ready to use your floral cubes, simple put them in your ice bucket or beverage container to chill your wine or champagne bottles. Guests will be impressed with these pretty cubes!
I also like to use fresh flowers as a simple cake topper!
