Halloween might not be my favorite holiday, but I do enjoy getting creative coming up with easy Halloween party food and DIY Halloween decorations. Plus, I'm a sucker for a kid in a cute costume! Now that my girls are more grown up, a new tradition has started in my home–cue all the dad and son Halloween costumes!
We've only had a few Halloweens so far with our son but already, my husband has come up with some cute father and son matching costumes. I'm loving the classic themes they've come up with so far. I have a feeling as our little guy gets older (and has his own opinions on the costumes they wear) things are going to get a lot more interesting!

1. Dracula and Baby Bat
Now, I know a bat might not be the first thing you think of when coming up with baby's first Halloween costume–but I rolled with it. Turns out a baby sleeping bat is pretty darn cute! This was Reid's first Halloween costume!
Costume Details Dad: He wore black pants, white dress shirt and dress shoes he already owned. Purchased this cape and picked up some vampire teeth and makeup.

2. Dumbo and Ringmaster
This dumbo outfit is historic in our family so Dad wanted to build his look around this costume. This costume was first worn by our niece about 22 years ago! And our youngest niece and our daughter's also both wore this as their first Halloween costume so it's a long family tradition.

Costume Details 1 Year Old: This is a very old costume from the Disney store but looks like this is Disney's updated Dumbo costume.
3. Curious George & The Man in the Yellow Hat
This has to be my favorite dad and son halloween costume they've done so far! I just couldn't get over how darn cute the little monkey was. The tail in the back made my laugh so hard!

4. Tik-Tok the Crocodile and Captain Hook
Father and Son Halloween Costume: Tik-Tok and Captain Hook
This was such a fun year for the daddy/son duo costume! Tick-Tock the Crocodile, from Disney's Peter Pan, and Captain Hook! The crocodile costume was really warm which was a bonus. I feel like we can likely reuse the pirate costume at some point, too.

5. Mario and Luigi
Father and Son Halloween Costume: Mario and Luigi
This one was definitely the request of our son. He just HAD to be Mario. So, you guessed it–Dad got assigned Luigi! What I loved about this costume was they had built in little pot bellies. OMG on my son it was adorable!

6. Darth Vadar and Storm Trooper
Father and Son Halloween Costume: Dath Vadar and Storm Trooper
Even though at this point he hadn't seen any Star Wars movies, my son really wanted this to be their matching costumes. He loved that the light saber glowed at night (which was helpful when it was dark and he was in all black!). The adult Storm Trooper was a little on the pricey side but it was worth it! It also didn't come with a blaster so we spray painted a water gun black.
