It all starts with the perfect invitation

So, I decide to throw my husband a surprise sports themed birthday party. The only glitch was I had just about 3 weeks to fully plan and execute it. Yes... 3 weeks. Now, more miraculous feats have been accomplished (I am sure of it), but there was one snag -- we were going on a 2 week vacation. On top of that, half of our time away we would be completely disconnected from all phone and Internet access. HOW was I going to do this? Well I knew what had to be done first, a killer sports party invitation was needed.

Thankfully I was able to enlist the help of a very talented designer, Kori Clark of Paper & Pigtails. I'll be honest, at first I was worried she might not "get" my vision. I didn't want a kiddie invite and of course nothing cheesy. I just wanted... well... I wanted... I had NO clue. I was absolutely no help in conveying what I was looking for. So, how did Kori respond? She said "I got this." And overnight she had sent me a proof of the best invite I could have imagined (had I actually imagined it).

Here is the proof she sent me (front):

I just loved by the use of fonts here! Check out the rest of the details (back):

All the party details were cleverly incorporated and I loved it! Here is an images of the print version:

Thank you to Kori of Papers & Pigtails for your amazing custom work!

More party details coming soon so stay tuned!

My daughters vintage themed 16th birthday party is next week and I went on vacation for 3 weeks last month and now I am quietly panicking (well actually NOT that quietly!!!). Love the invites.

Those are some great organizational skills. You were right though, with a tight timeline and part of that time being incommunicado, it was absolutely necessary to find someone dependable and talented and then delegate.
