Lavender Baby Shower Theme

I've never been a big purple fan, but lately all things lavender have me liking the color more and more. I was creating an inspiration board for a lovely lavender baby shower and I'll admit–I'm loving this color.

Lavender is the perfect color for a baby shower. It's more modern than your traditional pink or blue theme. Lavender is soft enough to be fitting for a baby shower, but classy enough to make the mom-to-be feel really honored.

How to Decorate For a Lavender Baby Shower

• Use lavender table linens (like those pictured above)
• Use lavender colored flowers as centerpieces. Sprigs of lavender can be added into other arrangements to bring in that color.
• Create balloon garland above the dessert table using two shades of lavender balloons
• Tie purple ribbons to the back of the guest of honor's chair like I did at this purple and yellow dinner party

What to Serve at a Lavender Themed Shower

Let lavender inspire more than just your shower decor! You can incorporate both the color and the flavor into food and drinks you serve.

• Lavender champagne
• Store bought cupcakes, cakes, or brownie bites topped with one of these delicate edible wafer paper butterflies
• Lavender earl grey cookies
• Lemonade and coffee with lavender syrup  

 

As baby shower favors I like to give something guests can either eat or something small they can use. This DIY lavender lip scrub was very easy to make and would be a perfect baby shower favor.

You could also provide a packet of lavender seeds, or even lavender hand lotion as a favor.

I encourage you to consider lavender as your next party theme––whether it be a baby shower, bridal shower, or even Sunday brunch.
