Whether you need a centerpiece for a kids table at a wedding, birthday party, or a formal dinner party, this idea will be perfectly fitting. Combining colorful flowers for decor and crayons and markers to keep their little hands busy, this centerpiece will serve double duty; provide decoration and offer little ones an activity.
Remember the childhood fun of turning white carnations and daisies onto blue and green blooms? A day or two before you need the centerpiece, cut a few white flowers and place them in a vase of water colored with food dye. This is also a fun "experiment" to get your kids involved in. Then, use any bud vases and small glass dishes you have on had to put your kid table centerpiece together. Group flower vases in the middle and small glass bowls or glasses around filled with crayons and markers. You can put blank paper at each place setting for their masterpieces or {my favorite} cover the table itself with butcher paper they can doodle directly on!
This would also be a great centerpeice idea for an Art Party. Check out this article for more ideas on throwing an Artsy Partsy.
