Looking for fun and festive patriotic cocktails? These red, white, and blue drinks are a perfect addition to your 4th of July or Memorial Day party!
I'm always up for a themed cocktail and any of these would make a great choice.
1. Sparkling Red, White And Blue Sangria
I love how simple this patriotic cocktail is! This Sparkling Red, White and Blue Sangria looks so refreshing. Grab yourself a star cookie cutter and make a big pitcher for your 4th of July party!
2. Red, White and Blue Italian Ice Champagne Floats
These Red, White & Blue Italian Ice Champagne Floats would be perfect to make if you want to have a non-alcoholic version to serve guests at your party. You simply swap out the champagne for 7UP or Sprite.
3. All-American Jar
I love a good tequila drink and this one looks like an upgrade! Created by Toby Keith, this All-America Jar seems like part cocktail and part dessert in a glass!
4. Blended Adult Shirley Temple
An adult twist on a childhood favorite, I love making this Adult Shirley Temple (especially when it's hot outside!).
5. Red, White and Blue Vodka Lemonade Slush
This layered Vodka Lemonade Slush reminds me of a cocktail I made a few summers back (this Layered Peach & PIneapple Vodka Slush). I make sometimes. I guess I have something for brightly colored drinks!
Tips for Making Patriotic Cocktails
- Sometimes a red or blue cocktail will call for food coloring but you can typically find a food coloring substitute to use.
- Red food coloring alternative for cocktails: cherry juice, Grenadine, strawberry syrup
- Blue food coloring alternative for cocktails: Blue Curaçao (which is liquor), blue gelatin diluted with a bit if water
- If you're layering a blended cocktail, simply make separate batches (one red, one white, and one, blue) and then layer in the glass right before you serve
- If you're cocktail doesn't have all the patriotic colors you can add them in with garnishes (think strawberries, watermelon, blueberries) or add a fun and festive straw
