90210 Party Ideas

I have such nostalgic memories of watching this show as I was growing up. Realizing today is in fact, 9/02/10 -- I thought a party post was in order. Hey, I'll throw a themed party for just about anything! And today, 9/02/10 seems like the perfect reason to share some fun 90210 party ideas!

90210 Party Ideas

When I think back to the "gang" on 90210, I immediately think about scenes of them meeting at Nat's Peach Pit. Typically, if it went down–this is where it happened. I don't remember much eating (as someone pointed out on Twitter last night), but a lot of pushing the food around the plate while they contemplated life. But these 90210 party ideas are all about eating and drinking ;).

How about a Peach "Virgin" Donna Martin Daiquiri? Coined by Donna Martin .. uh hum... I mean, Tori Spelling herself.

90210 Party Ideas including themed cocktail

Peach Pit "Virgin" Donna Martin Daiquiri
  • 60 ml light rum
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ¼ cup canned peaches
  • 2 sliced peaches

To Make:

  • Put all the ingredients into blender along wit ha cup of crushed ice
  • Blend at low sped for 10-15 seconds
  • Pour into a chilled wine glass
  • Garnish Frozen Peach Daiquiri with lemon slice
Mini Peach Pies

Yum, pair with vanilla bean ice cream - so good! Get the recipe here.

OR, if cupcakes are more your style check out these Peach frosted delights! Simply use ordinary cake mix (if you want to whip this out quickly) but make this handmade peach icing for fabulous dessert!

Peach Buttercream
  • ¾ cup butter, at room temperature
  • 1 ½ cups confectioner's sugar
  • ¼ cup peach puree (fresh peaches pureed in the food processor)
  • A few drops of lemon juice to keep the peaches from turning
  • Vanilla, to taste

To Make:

Whip the butter until light and fluffy. Add the sugar and beat until well combined. Add peach puree and vanilla and beat again until smooth. I added just a touch of yellow and red food coloring to enhance the color.

Recipe and photo found here.

Now, all you need is some old re-runs of the original 90210 episodes and you are all set to enjoy your 90210 party. So dish, who was YOUR favorite character? I bet you'll never guess mine!

I liked David in the early years. I was so disappointed that Matel didn't make a Barbie of him. I had all of them (Brenda, Brandon, and Luke) except Kelly...she was always sold out.

Ahhh memories! It's tough to pick a favorite character... and even a favorite episode... but I recall being smitten with Dean Cain when he guest-starred in the "Paris" episodes... That Brenda was one lucky gal! :)

I watched about two seasons of 90210 because they were the same age as me, and at the time, there weren't many shows on TV depicting high school life. I still remember the episode with Color Me Badd at the Peach Pit. So cheesy...
