Looking for cool, simple and cheap DIY Halloween decorations? These DIY ghost candles are such an easy project. DIY Halloween decorations cannot get easier than this (no, really!)
I love something that takes me just a few minutes to make (well, in this case it's seconds) and looks really unique. Plus, you only need two supplies!
These ghost candles are so easy even the kids can make these on their own. Set these up at a craft station at a Halloween party and then the kids can take home their own DIY ghost candle as a party favor. (You might also like these easy DIY Halloween balloons).
I picked up these tall white candles for 50 cents each at the dollar store (but you can snag them on Amazon if you don't want to leave the house). You can find these at most grocery stores.
How to Make a Ghost Candle
Using a black sharpie, draw different ghost faces on each plain white candle. candle. Create a variety of faces (like the ones above) by drawing different shapes for the eyes and mouths.
In about 10 seconds you will have the easiest DIY halloween decorations! Such a simple decoration that only costs a few dollars to make!
All you have left to do, is to light them up and enjoy the glow. They look really cute during the day and a little more spooky at night. You could even make these as gifts or favors for a Halloween party. I love the look of these all lined up on a shelf, on a mantle, or even in a window.
I also like the fact that they will be all used up by the end of the holiday season so there will be no need to store these all year long. Simply make new ones next year!

I have done these as ghosts and mummies. But cats, bats, vampires, etc. would also work great. I buy mine at Target and they also have a mid size version so I mix it up. One great thing is that they clean up great with a scrubby sponge and dish soap so they can be re used around the house.

I love the idea of the mid sized ones too. I'll have to grab a few of that size!
