Ingredients
1pieceThick Bread I used berry bread I found in the bakery department of my local grocery store, but you can choose any bread you like.
1-2tablespoonPlain Cream CheeseUse regular or whipper cream cheese.
1.2StrawberriesSliced
4-6Raspberries
1 teaspoonSliced Almonds
1 teaspoonChocolate Chips
Instructions
First, toast some thick bread.Once toasted.Lightly sprinkle a pinch of sugar on the berries to sweeten them up.
Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on the toast.
Next, top the bread with sliced strawberries and whole raspberries.
Finally, top with chocolate chips for a special sweet treat and a few slivered almonds for a nice crunch.
Serve to your valentine in bead or surprise them at the breakfast table.
Notes
Feel free to customize this recipe any way you'd like. Some substitutions you can make are:
Swap out the berries for any you'd like! I chose strawberries and raspberries because they were red for Valentine's Day. But, blueberries and blackberries would be yummy too.
Use a flavored cream cheese. Any flavor will work (though I'd avoid any savory flavors)
